While obtaining it, you already have an asset and at the same time you can spend it however you want. Unlike the fiat money, it's dwelled to inflation and whatever global issues may have although with the latter, Bitcoin isn't exempted with that. There have been a lot of optimistic about DeFi as well but they've got a lot of security concerns and we do not have to go that far, Bitcoin is already for it.
