I don’t heard the rumor or hear a real news that Bayern Munich went for many other coaches and they refused before they finally decided to sign Kompany. I only heard of them wanting to sign Xabi Alonso but were not successful after he decided to stay back at Bayern Leverkusen for another year when his contract expires with them. Bayern Munich and only them can know what they saw in Kompany that the rest of the world are not seeing and are so confident in him that he can help them get out of this difficult state they are. If they don’t succeed with him, there situation will become worse and will cease to become the legends of the Bundesliga that we all know them to be all this years. Bayern Munich still can be at their best the next season because it is now always easy to bring down a lion for too long without climbing back to the top even after seeing a lot of signs that they can do it again. Xabi Alonso have just done the impossible and that’s what will give him the chance for a better offer from top teams when he decides to leave Bayern Leverkusen soon.
