The club recently announced the signing of France international Kylian Mbappe who's arguably the best striker in the world at the moment and with the presence of Kylian Mbappe in the team coupled with the already intimidating squad of the club, it'll be very difficult for any other club to face Real Madrid next season.
That being said, there are other few clubs that might stop Real Madrid from defending the UEFA Champions League title come next season such as Manchester City and Bayern Munich. These two clubs in my opinion will be more improved than they were in the just concluded season. If Bayern Munich and Manchester City could meet Real Madrid in the knockout round, then perhaps Real Madrid could lose and fail to defend its title.
On paper, Real Madrid are the favorites for next season. I won't argue that ever, but Real Madrid may still fail especially if all of Ancelotti's plans don't match reality. A luxurious squad never guarantees success, but success can be achieved with good team performance. Nothing is as smooth as we talked about, there are always obstacles along the way.
