To be honest, I didn't know Arne Slot before. But that's not a problem in my opinion because I personally don't know many coaches apart from a few names that often appear in the sports media. But we can't expect Klopp to gain momentum. Liverpool have changed to a new coach and I think it will take some time before they get momentum back. I doubt Liverpool will be one of the favorites in the UCL next season. I didn't expect much from the first season with Arne Slot. It's not easy to regain momentum in your first year.
This could be Arne Slot’s first year coaching Liverpool but that doesn't mean he can’t make them to go so far in the champions league or make them stand separate from other teams in terms of performance and quality. I know that we shouldn’t be expecting that much from him and at the same time, we should also give him some sense of hope to make the team better in his first year. Xabi Alonso did that in the Bundesliga with Bayern Leverkusen and it worked out for them well. We are not expecting much from him but if he does, that shows he’s the right choice for the club and will take the club so far in the premier league title and also other competitions they’ll be participating in next season.
Let's wait for Slot's first year at Liverpool to see if he can defend his place at the top of the EPL. Liverpool will be forced to finish at least in the top 4 in order to defend its UCL spot upcoming season. He deserved to be fired if liverpool will not able to fulfill that condition next season. BTW, this is not a simple job for Slot, given that Liverpool is currently having a very competitive season against arsenal and manchester city. It will be a difficult task for him to make Liverpool as competitive as it was when Klopp was there. It's caused by slot never faces manchester city or arsenal before.
