Florian Wirtz is one key frontline for Bayer Leverkusen and Xabi Alonso will not take things likely with his opponents next season. Bayer Leverkusen won the Bundesliga title with unbeaten run, they didn't record a loss and we know they're the best German club this season, surpassing Bayern Munich and Borrusia Dortmund.

Bayer Leverkusen have other plans to meet up, winning the UEFA Champions League title is their target but they should ensure they're having one of the best competitive squad because this is no newbie title but meant for top clubs.
A great season for Leverkusen. They played fantastic soccer and won the Bundesliga. But the Champions League is unique. Best of the best. Undoubtedly, Leverkusen is good. Their level is below Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, and Manchester City. Not even close. They havent shown they can withstand Champions League pressure and intensity. Thats key. Not just skill, but experience and mental tenacity. Lets see how they do in groups. See if they can handle the big boys. We can then discuss Champions League contenders. But now? Way too early. Far too early.
Leverkusen did well last season except for one match. Bundesliga, Europa League they were single handedly dominating everywhere but as I mentioned in the first line there was only one match they did badly and that one match was the final match of the Europa League. If they could have done better in the final match, they might have had a fulfilling last season. In the last season in the local league, Leverkusen remained at the top of the points table with the most points and they secured the title by going unbeaten, which is why they are going to participate in the Champions League tournament next season. They know that the Champions League tournament will definitely not be easy for them and knowing that they may be preparing for the Champions League ahead. Inclusion of new players in their team is definitely mandatory and it is better to go ahead with the plan to strengthen the team and do well in the Champions League.
