Firstly I wouldn’t put Bayer Leverkusen In the same category with Girona and Bologna in the champions league. Yes they haven’t won it but they are very much familiar with the competition, they have even in the last few years been in the competition more than even Aston Villa who had won it in the past. It will be a mixed feeling for First time Girona, maybe they will push harder to the quarterfinals like Leicester did when they came or fall fiat like Union Berlin
Their experience is superior but for the current Champions League they are still ultimately a dark horse even though last season they had a very good performance and managed to get a trophy in the domestic competition but until now I still feel that in the end Leverkusen's situation is the same as what Atalanta and Girona have only the experience is a little better.

But regardless, this season is likely to be very interesting to wait for the Champions League title because just like before there are several clubs that are debutants this season such as Girona and Bologna. Hopefully the fate of these two clubs is not the same as the previous debutants where Union Berlin and Newcastle last season had to be in a complicated situation when stepping on their feet in a big competition like this Champions League.
