That's worth exploring cause it doesn't hurt anyone to add it, but I don't share your enthusiasm that it will have a significant effect on Bitcoin or bitcointalk. Anyone who finds their way here are already interested in Bitcoin and can now explore other sectors of the forum, I guess it can keep the attention span of some users and reduce the ratio of new registrations who never actually use the forum, but that's just an assumption.

To the process of adding a new board. There needs to be sufficient traffic of discussions around that particular subject scattered around different other boards. This shows there is demand and a new board will actually be used and not just go inactive.
