Many times we make mistakes due to our lack of knowledge or wrong information. I see nothing wrong with that. But after making a mistake, if you do it again without learning from it, it is a sin. I think that's what the OP meant. I'm the one who always right needs to get this idea out of our minds. If someone points out a mistake, it should be corrected politely.
What I think is that if an intelligent person is misled, he never gets angry but is very happy and makes him a friend. And if an uneducated person is misled, he gets very angry and considers him as an enemy. Maybe insulted. The truth is that if someone makes a mistake, there is a lot to learn from it.
