In case of victory, it is easier to stop, when you win, you get a lot of positive things, and it is easier to stop for a while, and in case of loss, there is a desire to win back, and in this case, stopping is even more important.
I somehow disagree with you here because my personal experience is actually the opposite. When a gambler wins, there is this motivation to play more that sets in and if not watch, the gambler will lose the money won. Many people win gambling but not many people are able to cash out the winning. Remember that winning brings confidence and sometimes pride which makes the gambler become careless. Whereas losses bring fear and doubt which will make the gambler think again. So I believe that losses will make someone stop gambling rather than winning.
