Well I did it. I ordered my stuff.

I decided to go with my original plan cause I was a little leery about the reliability and quality of the mining case. It looks like a killer deal and it might be fine, but I still have to make a custom rack and it has to fit inside the enclosure I made for a couple reasons. I'm not sure I could trust the equipment in the enclosure and not have something happen, or it craps out after a few months.

Even with the stuff I ordered, I still got one of those automatic fireball extinguishers that I'll install inside the enclosure, just in case.
