Personally, I have never been into betting, but only gambling. I don't find betting interesting because you need to know everything about teams and players.
I recently learned that betting and gambling are very different things that are clearly separated by the governments of different countries.
For example, in the USA, betting is prohibited in only 7 states, and gambling in half of the states. This is strange, because betting has exactly the same meaning as gambling: a player bets money and either multiplies it or loses. That is, in fact, gambling and betting are extremely close concepts.
