Gavi is a good player for Barcelona and his return from injury is what I have been waiting for. I know he's not better than other players in his position sometimes, but he's got a strong mentality and a unique style of play. This identity is what makes me happy to see him always playing, but the long injury he suffered last season will probably make him lose his best form.
Hansi Flick must see Gavi as a good player to have in Barcelona's main line-up next season. Romeo, Ilkay Gundogan and Roberto certainly have more experience than Gavi, but in terms of energy I think Gavi is still quite good compared to them. Gavi can sometimes be decisive, it has developed well under Xavi for several seasons.
This season has not been very good for Gavi because he had to give up hopes of being in the Olympics and Euros of course because of the healing he had to do and if you look at the beginning of his ACL at least it is possible a few weeks after the season rolls around he will be fully declared healed even though he will definitely have to re-adapt because it's been a long time since he grazed and played soccer.
It's definitely a complicated situation actually although Gavi is a very good young player but indeed after the ACL there will definitely be some changes that occur and he could lose his momentum and this is what needs to be worried about.
We've seen some players who have the same history like Chiesa or Zaniolo who ultimately didn't rediscover their form after the injury and hopefully Gavi isn't like that and can continue to play well after recovering.
