This is a global problem for all clubs in Serie A even if they are big clubs but they do have financial problems which makes it a bit more complicated for Serie A but on the other hand they have always performed above average when compared to clubs in other major competitions such as the Europa League, Champions League or Conference League despite their financial constraints.
It is sad this days that football has been taken over by money, people will argue that the passion is there which o don’t deny but money has been the main lubricant at the moment. Clubs with wealthy owners easily snaps up the exciting players in the game and the competition is reduced. Players get lure to teams by wages. The Seria is currently facing huge decline in terms of winning at the big stage due to not having enough quality players to compete with some of the top clubs from the other leagues or countries. In the past before The ownership transition AC Milan was one of the biggest clubs in the land with the best players in the club but right now they don’t have the luxury to have all of them at the same Time. Juventus also went into financial trouble and are yet to recover
Aside having wealthy owners, the league broadcasting system needs to be big to generate more revenue for the clubs, look at the EPL they have the money now because of how much they earn for match broadcasts, so currently you can’t compare them self. One thing I love about this new seria A is the fact that there is no dominance of a single team
