Another challenge is for the Leverkusen club itself, which certainly cannot afford to lose great players who have contributed greatly to their success last season. And actually, currently many Leverkusen players are being targeted by big clubs in this player transfer window. And even one of Leverkusen's key players, Jeremie Frimpong, who is Leverkusen's right wing-back, is also being contested in the current transfer window. because several clubs from the Premier League are approaching him, including Manchester City, who are also reported to want the player. And from La Liga I also heard that Barcelona is also trying to bring in this player. And my worry is that if Leverkusen lose a lot of their key players in the transfer Window I'm afraid the club won't be able to bring in better replacements.

Bayern Leverkusen should not even try to do that because they will lose relevancy without those key players by next season. A lot is expected from them after a brilliant season from them in the just concluded season. They need all of their key players and even more in order to be at their best next season also. Xabi Alonso staying back with them should help convince this players that have trained under him for up to a season and bringing out the best in them. He shouldn’t gamble it and allow them to go thinking that he’ll get a good replacement for them. If he continues with this current Bayern Leverkusen squad, I feel he’ll excel better in the next season than he did in the first season with them.

A lot of people have high hopes in them and they believe with Xabi Alonso staying with them for the next season, they won’t be less of their performance as they did in the first season but rather improved in all aspect as they prepare to participate in the champions league which is the most competitive of all competitions they will be playing in next season. Their undefeated run has given them an upper hand and they should utilize it very well as teams will be more sceptical playing with them from next season.
Certainly, Leverkusen had a hell of a season last year. Xabi Alonso indeed caused some magic for damn sure. But next season isn't going to be a picnic. Bayern and Dortmund are going for blood. Champions League, that's a difference. Best teams in Europe. Can Leverkusen hang? We would see. All of it boils down to keeping their core, man. If those guys start leaving, it's gonna be a tough battle. Xabi is a wizard, but you know even wizards require the correct components. Leverkusen's gotta make some moves in the transfer market, bring in some heavy guys. There is no time to enjoy their laurels. They gotta stay hungry, stay focused
