I never think Leverkusen can match their unbeaten record next season, but everyone can expect logical things about them next season. Xabi Alonso has a big responsibility to maintain his team's performance, this is the most difficult challenge I imagine for him next season.
It is very difficult to maintain the success that has been achieved, every time a new season rolls around there will always be an increase in competition and different performances displayed. However, I still believe Leverkusen will be the toughest competitor for Bayern Munich and Dortmund next season because they still maintain the squad that has won trophies this season and will likely bring in new players to add to the team's strength. Xabi Alonso responsibilities will be even heavier next season because Leverkusen will play in the Champions League, the level of competition which is more competitive than the Europa League means that Leverkusen must perform optimally if they want to survive longer in this most prestigious competition.

I think Leverkusen management will try their best to give Xabi everything he needs for next season, because if they push with support like that, then Xabi will have a new breath which maybe it will have a big influence on their performance next season. Defending is not easy at all, so my expectations are not that high to see them maintain what they have achieved this season, especially with only suffering 1 defeat during the full season in all the competitions they play.
Xabi ALonso will prepare everything so that he can be even better for next season, his experience as a player who has often been in the Champions League, in my opinion will help him in his work, because he also definitely understands very well what the players want when they are in the League Champions. He can pass on his experience as a player to his current team at Leverkusen.
