Nigeria is country that is well known as a typical agricultural nation which was once the mainstay to the country economy and because of the agricultural strength of the country compel them to have their flag as Green White Green which signify agriculture and peace but it baffles me to see the level of hunger going on in Nigeria now to the extend that an average Nigerian cannot boast of feeding himself and family three square meal per day.
What could be the root cause of this hunger in a country that has all it takes including human capitals and natural resources to make a great nation that the whole would will cherish and envy.
The problem of hunger in Nigeria has complex root causes. The most basic root of the problem is government policies regarding agriculture and the distribution of resources that are ineffective or unfair in access to food. Apart from that, of course, the environmental damage caused by traditional agricultural systems. Maybe another problem is unstable food prices.

I think all the problems come back to the government. Because the government is the authority that can make people live safely and calmly, and it is even the government that makes people poor from the policies they make.

But I don't understand more specifically than what was said, whether this condition really occurs.
This is indeed a very complex problem, there are many supporting factors why there is hunger in Nigeria, as some people have mentioned, government policies are vocal in dealing with this because they can determine how to make their people get good living facilities, but if the government is corrupt and irresponsible and thinks more about personal gain, it will be very difficult to change all economic conditions there.

Regarding the food that makes them hungry, this can be seen from the supply of basic needs and the development of agriculture in the country, from the start of monetary policy inflation is also a broad problem for the people's economy, this is very complicated if you look at the entire structure that allows people to experience poverty or lack of power to survive.

Yes, I also do not understand how the conditions are true and what is read is only ordinary news that may have been by the provider, but the main key in eradicating poverty is the government policy there to be improved.
