Many predict that Bayer Leverkusen will be the center of attention in the next Champions League and want to see how Xabi Alonso competes with many outstanding coaches who have experience in the Champions League, but we cannot guarantee to what extent Leverkusen can survive in the Champions League despite the previous unbeaten achievements, it is possible but it may not be what we imagine or go the other way and cannot survive even in the group qualification.
But it is interesting how far Xabi Alonso will take Bayer Leverkusen, whether it will reach the final like Dortmund or not.
But I was really impressed with the efforts of Dortmund during the last season of champions league with their super impressive games they succeeded to the finals. I least expected it from them even though they've done it before and have the track record of winning the Champions league in 1997. For Bayer Leverkusen, it could be a different thing since I don't think they have ever had the opportunity before. Why everyone is talking about Leverkusen is because of their great performance at the league level, but that doesn't really mean they can do the same thing at the UEFA Champions league.
