According to leaks, many coaches who negotiated with United (Tuchel, Pochettino, etc.) were shocked by the conditions that were offered to them - both in terms of salaries and in terms of funds allocated for transfers. Without taking into account player sales, only 55 million is allocated for the summer transfer campaign. Apparently the club will live in economy mode for now and they simply don’t have any other options other than TH.
Ten Hag is a hard-working coach and he usually makes hard training for players and that's why people know him as a coach who usually punishes players because of bad performance. Ten Hag is a coach who had a good performance in the last season when he joined Manchester United because he made the team to be on the top side of the Premier League but during this season he was not really successful and this made Manchester United to think about using another coach instead of keep working this him while I think changing Ten Hag would be a big risk.
I'd rather say that he's an authoritarian coach who doesn't accept criticism and input from the players than say he's a strict coach who doesn't hesitate to punish underperforming players.
The players are performing and training according to Ten Hag's direction so when the performance on the pitch is not up to expectations then apart from there being a problem with the players it is also because the scheme may not be up to expectations.
We know that in the last few seasons (these 2 seasons) Ten Hag has sacrificed a lot of players who actually can still be forced just because of his attitude that seems not to accept criticism and Sancho is proof of the authoritarian attitude that Ten Hag has.
His treatment of Sancho is not a firm attitude but it is a childish way that cannot distinguish personal problems and club needs which ultimately makes players who are brought in expensive are not used properly even though their performance can still be empowered at Manchester United.
