Actually most Investors who Invests in AltCoins are premium risk takers and prettily be assumed to be a convention of trying a luck if they can secure a goal of making profit in a very short time but feels unfortunate when beginners or inexperience Investors fails to understand that it's not encouraging for long term holding and can actually dump just after a sudden pump.
Altcoins are not worth investing in in the long term. If you look at the list of altcoins on coingecko or coinmaketcap and you can try to compare altcoins from a few years ago to today. I'm sure there will be a shift and there are even some coins in the top 10 coinsecko or coinmaketcap that have entered 100 and are no longer worth investing in.
