Gavi is a gem. But holding this player in the team won't be easy at all. We know a player with talents like Gavi and his age is a player any team wants to have him in the team and this can make any team to spend good offers for hiring Gavi from Barcelona and since Barcelona doesn't have enough money, it's not surprising to see them losing this player soon.
However, I think now since he is getting back to the good form, this can be a piece of good news for Flick since he can again help Barcelona at the start of the season and he won't miss the summer pieces of training hopefully.
Barcelona is very happy that Flick doesn’t require a lot of money for new transfers, I think it’s more out of necessity, but still, Laporta will definitely be happy with this. Flick also approved the extension of Felix's lease in Barcelona, which means that he, like Xavi, will count on this forward, and in conditions of limited funding, I think that Barcelona  need this forward. Atletico offers Barcelona an exchange of Felix for Roque, but it seems that everything will end with an extension of the loan. Laporta also announced that they were able to reduce payroll, which should lead to a reduction in debt.
Running Barcelona these days is like trying to build a championship team with peanuts and gum. Guy, it's a financial disaster. It's too full of debt for those fancy signings. Though Flick understands. The group has skill; all that has to be done is to extract every last drop of potential from those players. Barcelona might take everyone by surprise, but man, that's a long path. They must straighten up their financial situation. That's the only way back to the top
Going home in a season without a trophy is adding to the problem of their financial situation, if those fancy signings turn out to be as useful as they thought then maybe they might even be on a fair track instead they turn out to be opposite thus adding more to their problem...
Xavi thought he could reduce the burden by bringing in Lamasia youngsters  instead it cost him his job, all thanks to him new stars were discovered  Smiley

I wouldn't say Barcelona did much worse last season. Because this group was not strong enough. However, Xavi did his best to keep Barcelona's performance stable. However, it was not possible to win the La Liga title with this squad. I can't even say that it was the right decision by the Barcelona management to fire Xavi. It is unlikely that Flick will strengthen the Barcelona team next season, and make the Barcelona team fit for the title. Because Barcelona do not have enough money to add talented and experienced players to the squad. So I don't expect much from Barcelona next season.
