Euro 2024 has just started, we can see that big teams are able to dominate their opponents, Germany, Spain, Switzerland and Italy managed to secure victory in their first matches. Spain performance was certainly very surprising, their level of play was increasing and they managed to dominate the match well.
Among these teams, Italy had a most difficult first match in Euro 2024. They got a conceded goal in a half of first minute by a mistake of Di Marco, later they quickly equalized and scored a second goal to lead Albania. However at the 90th minute, Albania got a great chance to equalize the match but Donnarumma saved Italy and three points are important for Italy to avoid disadvantage in their race with Spain and Croatia. If Albania equalize the match, it will be a terrible first match for Italy.
Croatia, which was strengthened by several high-class star players, was unable to get its team out of pressure. The compactness and equal quality of players on all lines meant that Croatia was unable to penetrate Spain very strong defense.
Croatia had a bad first match in this Euro but they have two more matches to find a ticket to move next. Beating Albania and Italy will open a gate for Croatia to move next and with their strong mentality, they will not give up early. Honestly I am surprised by Croatia in a way they let Spain scored first three goals without much fighting back.
