If you go to work where cheques are used and no matter how much you trust the people you work with, don't leave them on the table, because if you do, after several passes, someone will slip them into their pockets  because they think that no one will notice the fraud. Internal control, remember? And look after your health without getting paranoid about the paranoids you'll inevitably meet over the institutions. Organizationally, remember?
