"It's time for schools to focus on the root cause of online teen gambling by implementing gambling prevention education in all high schools. Health class curricula across the nation cover the typical risks for teens such as smoking, drinking, vaping, etc yet gambling education is nowhere to be found in our schools. "

The importance of high schools implementing gambling prevention educative programs can not be overemphasized, especially in this new age that almost every teenager has a smart phone. I see teens that I believe are not up to 18 years entering sports bet shops, and everybody is minding their business, meaning that people are accepting it as a normal thing.

The reason why I believe that schools are not laying much emphasis on teenage gambling education is because it doesn't have a direct effect to human health. Unlike alcohol and smoking that are consumed directly into the body and can be dangerous to health. But school authorities needs to understand that irresponsible and addictive gambling is equally dangerous to health and young people needs to be educated on the need to be matured before gambling their money.
