I don't think that exodus is a bad wallet, I have been keeping crypto on it for many years and there have been no problems, no attacks, nothing that would cause me to withdraw funds there, the developers care about their product and are really developing it in the right direction. Exodus team isn't Atomic development team 
I agree that it seems pretty safe. I have used it and I have not encountered any problems when it comes to security or whatnot. Though I would have to argue that it’s probably not the best wallet to do other things with like staking for example.Lido and Rocketpool are among those who I see are really recommended and they are also decentralized. Make an educated decision. This is just a simple observation.

If you are very keen on using exodus then I’m pretty sure you can sync your device to your PC but I am not sure whether it will reflect the staking feature. You’re going to have to wait most probably. Rocketpool 2.82% APR - it's a joke. Lido 3,2 - better. not best.
