As an individual spectator of the game, I really lost confidence in the Belgium team during the world cup. I wasn't just impressed because the pressure of Belgium I used to know was not there. Even when KDB gave his honest review of the Belgium team, he said that the squad is not young. And that was true as at the time of the world cup. I didn't watch this first match, I would have checked how young their squad is now.
From the beginning of the Euro, alot of goals came but it seems that the goals have seized coming. England managed to score 1 goal while France was gifted 1 goal through an OG. This means it gonna be a tough and surprising Euro.
Belgium is no longer strong like 4 or 6 years ago but this defeat is still unacceptable for many Belgian star players like Kevin who broke the interview after the match abruptly. They were surprised by Slovakia, got a conceded goal and did not play well in the first half but in the second half, they tried and played better. Unfortunately this match is not for them and they actually deserve a draw at least from domination and opportunities they created in the second half.
Just enjoy the game, sit back and relax on the sofa - I think you'll see France win this game even if it's just by an own goal. Depending on how they score the goal [own goal or not], in fact France will also get 3 points if they are able to secure the lead until the end of the match.
It is not easy to determine which country will win the Euro 2024 title – even if Germany, Spain, Italy, England or others are favorites – that is not a guarantee of reality. The match scenario is very difficult to imagine - underdog can sometimes be better, so this is what we expect in Euro.
France has similar performance like England and Italy, won their matches minimally and faced with pressure from their opponents and luckily ended their matches with three points. Results matter most because 3 points from their first matches will help them more easily to play in next two matches in their group. If they won't improve, however, they will face with more troubles in knock out stage with stronger opponents wait for them there.
