Easy, because there area a lot of ignorant people out there who believe Artificial intelligence equals magic, because they see how a program can make images out of text and how we begin to see chat bots which apparently can pass the Turing Test. So they believe that if that kind of technology is capable of generating images, "art" and text next to those done by human beings, then they assume Artificial intelligence could analyze the market better and faster than a human being could, giving better yields than the average trader.
To me it does not make much sense, it would imply an Artificial intelligence to have access to the movements of the most prominent traders and speculators our there, and their strategies are obvious not of public domain or easily gathered, as pictures or texts are.
