Although I have the same thoughts as you but there is a small doubt in my heart about Bayer Leverkusen, where he might have the same fate as Napoli, the previous season Napoli was also on fire they could be said to be very good in the Serie A league to be in the past season with very good dominance, even the Milan team could not keep up with what Napoli brought last season because they were much more consistent and very good performance.
Is this likely to be repeated in Bayer Leverkusen in the season he will be in the champions league because yesterday he got an extraordinary victory and with his unbeaten status, I am very proud of that for Xabi Alonso, but how will he be next season will it be that strong again or even more? because we see that many of his competitors are preparing themselves and strengthening their troops much better than before, maybe what Napoli feels will also be felt by Leverkusen? this niggles in my little heart.
Leverkusen performed well in the league tournament last season as well as in the Europa League tournament with the exception of one match, so their trip to the Champions League is sure to be a pleasure. The Champions League teams are definitely strong but since they will participate in the UCL tournament next season, they must increase their team strength and then participate in such tournaments. Leverkusen have had plenty of time to build their squad after the tournament, and if they can use that time properly, it wouldn't surprise us if they do well in the Champions League.
Indeed we cannot rule out Leverkusen's performance last season because after all it was a very brilliant performance shown by Leverkusen but in the end it is clear that anything is possible especially with Leverkusen's hype last season which was very crazy there is no guarantee that they get the same mentality.
