I agree that he is a legend. He was last active on the forum in 2019. I do wonder where these bitcoin OGs are and what they are currently doing. I also wonder about where the people who laughed at them when they spoke fanatically about Bitcoin, where they are currently doing. I wonder if they eventually invested in Bitcoin or are still stuck with their beliefs against Bitcoin.
In the early days, the forum was much more technical and there were no signature campaigns, it was very different from now. I imagine that the OGs are loaded and have lost interest in the forum because it's so changed. About the Bitcoin haters, I don't know, maybe some changed their mind and bought Bitcoin in time but in other forums you see them predicting that Bitcoin is going to go to 0 because it is a ponzi scheme, people who have had an account for a decade or more. They don't learn.
Kids, it's hard to tell a class from 13 years ago the influence it might have had. I would imagine not much.
