Because they don't need a player like Haaland anymore after this signing. Mbappe will most probably play in the centre-forward position which means they won't need another star striker. They don't have the same play style of course but Real Madrid would prefer Mbappe to Haaland for sure considering the way they play. 
Besides Real Madrid is full of star players. Let's say they signed Haaland as well. Then how will Ancelotti deal with this? There are many great alternatives for the attacking line. He can't just cut any of them easily.
I don't think Real Madrid will try to sign Haaland when they already have Mbappe on the club. Madrid is seeking for a striker, and they already have one in the club in Mbappe. Madrid's target will be on the defence line, as Madrid's defenders are becoming older, and Cavanja is getting weaker, and Ancelotti will want to have another after the next season ends. But now that Real Madrid has midfielders and attackers, they will not be short on players next season and will perform well and win the title. Ancelotti no longer requires any transfer windsors instead, they are only searching for mbappe. So Madrid will not rush to buy any player again. i think bayern munich don't want davies to leave the team they still need him in the club that is why real madrid as not get him hope thing now.
I am confident he will renew his contract with Bayern Munich next season. because is performance against real madrid in the champions league was very great and the new coach will like to use next time so munich will not let davies leave the club as a free agent and davies like madrid and I think that is why he has not renewed with bayern still, and madrid have enough money to buy any players they need because they have many titles and money to buy key players and I am sure if madrid did not get davies next season they will get him another season.
