Because they don't need a player like Haaland anymore after this signing. Mbappe will most probably play in the centre-forward position which means they won't need another star striker. They don't have the same play style of course but Real Madrid would prefer Mbappe to Haaland for sure considering the way they play.

Bro, absolutely. Real Madrid just got Mbappe; it's completely ridiculous that they are pursuing Haaland. On his own, Mbappe is a monster, guy. Haaland would be like far too much firepower to be included. I think that's excessive. While both of them are fantastic strikers, Mbappe simply has a more natural fit with Real Madrid's style. He is far more adaptable and has that incredible speed than Haaland. Plus, Real Madrid's got bigger problems to solve than stacking their attack. Let's be real, their offense is already fire
