I agree that he is a legend. He was last active on the forum in 2019. I do wonder where these bitcoin OGs are and what they are currently doing. I also wonder about where the people who laughed at them when they spoke fanatically about Bitcoin, where they are currently doing. I wonder if they eventually invested in Bitcoin or are still stuck with their beliefs against Bitcoin.
As for the kids, I still have the same thoughts. How did they turn out? Did they allow the teachings on Bitcoin to influence them? What have they been up to with regards to Bitcoin?
As much as I wanted to be optimistic about the result of the class done by our fellow forum member, I do not think these kids will take the lesson into heart. The audience are just 4th grader so I believe kids at this grade are around 9 or 10 years old so I believe these kids are more focused on playing and or doing their school activities.
4th grade. Depending on how I develop this "intro", I suspect that this particular school will be encouraging me to to this for other higher grades. It is like a charter technology/science themed school and are hungry to be "on the cutting edge". They are asking me to help out with their lego mindstorms club, and get them going with stuff like Scratch from MIT, etc.
If the lesson is done on universities I believe it will turn out well since students at this level are hungry for possible earning opportunities so they will more likely take the lesson seriously and possibly dig dipper into learning about Bitcoin.
But whatever the result of the effort of Tuxavant is, it is always great to know that there are selfless people who love sharing opportunities even if it costs them spending their own money.
