I hope Leverkusen can achieve more than they have won this season, defeat in the Europa League Final disappointed everyone involved in Leverkusen. Due to a small mistake when facing Atalanta, they failed to win the first Treble Winner in its history. Next season Leverkusen will play in the Champions League, they must be better prepared and need to develop their strength to face bigger challenges. They may be able to maintain their dominance in the Bundesliga, but there is no guarantee of success in the Champions League because the level of competition there is more competitive than in any other tournament.
With the German bundesliga, I don't have much doubts about how much they may end up achieving but in the champions league my doubts are huge and it still doesn't mean I'm not wishing them well or will not be happy if they surpass my expectations for them in the champions league. One advantage Leverkusen may still have that may be their edge in the bundesliga is the fact that they still have the winning squad intact as at this moment, there's no transfer of any players yet neither has there been a change of coach so they still have a good level of stability with which they can capitalize on to start off the season on a good note.
Madrid a d Manchester city will most definitely get to be a very strong challenge to Leverkusen if they get lucky enough to get pass all other teams to the point where they meet with Madrid of Manchester city in the champions league, back in the bundesliga, in as much as we are all seeing them to have attained that level where they now look like a top team in the league, I still believe they will be more challenged than they were last season as others will be aiming at the league title too knowing that the top contender Bayern Munich may not be appearing in their best shape, it's an advantage for all other teams across the bundesliga.
