Gambling have thought me a lot of lessons and from those lessons I have build long term experience and one of the things I most not do is to gamble when I am not in the right frame of mind, because when you are under any form of pressure, you can easily get carried away into believing that you may possibly make off some money from gambling by risking more that you can afford, this is what have lead many gamblers into bad situations such as addictions and debts on the long run.
Gambling should be based on fun and nothing more because regardless of how much desire we have, if that day is not our lucky day, you will still lose, which is why we advice that gamble with only an amount that you can afford to lose and be comfortable with.
Your point of view is absolutely correct, as a gambler it is better to gamble when you are in good mood and not bothered about other things, gambling shouldn't be done with anxiety or even over excitement in other not to incur unexpected loss.
As you said, gambling should done without greed, it is advisable to gamble with what you can let go if you eventually become unlucky, most gambler forget the warning of casinos that said gamble responsibly, although they may not have explained it in details but it means gamble with caution, don't be excessively involved with what you can forfeit, for me I just think that gambling shouldnt add to anyones burden rather it should be an activity that people should engage with smallest amount of money to avoid regret.
True, it is a good plan of approach to gambling, one of the reasons is because gambling is a risk-taking activity where if you make the wrong decision such as when you are having personal problems that make your brain and mind not working properly then it is very likely for you to take aggressive actions and decisions. And also added in gambling a lot of things that look tempting that can tempt us unconsciously, which when it turns out at the end of the session we lose then it will be very possible for us to vent emotions, especially when our state of mind is not calm due to other problems that we experience.
On the other hand, it is also very possible for someone who gambles when their mood and mind are not calm to end up allocating an amount of money that they cannot afford, or an amount that exceeds their limits which can make them experience a worse situation and mood. So the bottom line is that there is nothing wrong with gambling as long as you can gamble at the right time and under the right circumstances, especially when your mood and mind are calm.
Absolutely right. But I would advise you to look for other hobbies, or if you have skills for something outside of gambling, then take up this case. Gambling is not the best hobby. After all, for example, drawing or watching movies cannot cause severe addiction. I think the author has listed the right reasons for someone becoming addicted to gambling. But the reasons for gambling becoming a problem do not end at the above points.
In general, it is better to try to develop your skills given by nature and try to succeed in them. And you can always go back to gambling, they won't go anywhere.
