BTCWhat initially brought you into Bitcoin? and what made you stay?
I guess that 99% of all bitcoin users (this is not statistics) are drawn into this industry by greed, namely, to invest $1 and take back $2 (x3, x4 and so on). The rest, 1% (approximately) are interested in the technology itself. Over time, more people (out of 99%) become interested in the technical part. But still, initially, people are attracted by the explosive increase in the price of bitcoin. This is my opinion.

The reason for me to stay was the opportunities that bitcoin provides (one of which is financial freedom) and the fact that I don't know any more attractive financial instruments (that meet my needs).

It's true, we are attracted to this industry because of greed, because of the stories about bitcoin being able to yield thousands of percent profits, not because someone is looking for a payment method as some are saying. Because as far as I remember, in the early days bitcoin was given out for free through faucets, games...it was even used as rewards for ponzi projects, HYIPs...I was quite surprised when some people said they were looking for a new payment method and were attracted to bitcoin because hardly any businesses were using bitcoin as a payment method at that time.

Even in these days, many businesses have used bitcoin as a payment method but most of the newbies to the market are also attracted because of the profit story of bitcoin, they didn't come to Bitcoin because of its benefits. Only those who have been in the market for a long time and have spent time learning about bitcoin will gradually become interested in its technology and use cases, and newbies will come for greed like we did.
Greed is human nature. It drives us to construct skyscrapers, launch rockets to Mars, and gets us in Bitcoin. Who doesnt like money?  But Bitcoin goes beyond getting rich quick. Its a new money system that empowers people rather than huge banks and unscrupulous politicians. Thats huge, friends.

Perhaps you got Bitcoin after hearing about a guy who made millions from a few thousand dollars. But I'll bet you stayed because you started to understand what this technology really means. Your vision was a fairer, more transparent financial system open to anybody with an internet connection.

That does not eliminate risk. Crypto's volatility isnt for beginners. However, folks ready to learn, adapt, and accept this new technology can gain great advantages. Personal progress, future improvement, and financial gain. Let the haters call us greedy. We know better. We see the larger picture. We're pioneers, inventors, and risk-takers.
