Kompany seems to have started executing his transfer plan, while Xabi has recently started to add depth to his squad. Xabi is preparing his fleet to be able to compete in higher competition, namely the Champions League, while defending the Bundesliga trophy. It is clear that Kompany needs great luck, not only good squad depth, to be able to restore Bayern honor as rulers in the Bundesliga next season.
This will not be an easy task for any of them and they need to be at their best in order to deliver their teams. Much will be expected from Xabi Alonso because of how he finished the league last season, if not something more, then it should be as they finished last season. Kompany, who is a new coach to the defeated long time winner of the Bundesliga will fight his way to regain back the pride and honour of the team. How successful is it going to be if he wants that? It’s really a game of high expectations from both of them, we'll wait to see if they can make that happen.
I actually highly doubt that they will be able to get back their pride with the appointment of the new coach. The new coach is very inexperienced. I personally do not think he will be able to take good decisions when it is going to matter the most. Not everyone is Alonso. I personally do not trust that he will be able to bring in good results with Bayern Munich in the first season at least. Bayern Munich actually does win the Bundesliga title, they will have to perform really well and have some really incredible individual performances throughout the whole season to actually win the title. Yes the expectation is very high. But I think that high expectations are going to put extra pressure on the coach of Bayern Munich.
