Xabi Alonso has the opportunity to defend his title again, but repeating his streak without defeat seems unlikely to happen again. Bayern Munich has indeed changed coaches, but it looks like Kompany will have difficulty bringing Kane to success. Alonso just needs to polish his squad a little so that it is fresher when entering the new season. However, Alonso is clearly under pressure if he continues to be compared to his achievements this season.
To repeat the unbeaten record in the Bundesliga is indeed difficult, but it is not impossible for Leverkusen to happen again under Alonso's guidance next season. However, remembering that this is something that is not easy for Leverkusen to repeat, of course there is a possibility that Leverkusen could lose in the Bundesliga next season even though Leverkusen is still the favorite to win the Bundesliga. And the difficulty of this could arise from the fatigue of Leverkusen players because next season the team will also compete in the Champions League which is generally very physically draining for players.
You made two different statements that needs to be reacted to;
- Xavi Alonso may not repeat his unbeaten record:
Obviously I do not think that anyone is expecting Xavi Alonso and his boys to repeat their unbeating history in the incoming season. The only thing that is expected of them is to defend the Bundesliga title by whatever means they will do but they should be at the top of the table at least for one more season.
- Kompany will have difficulty bringing Kane to Success:
I think this statement is not true. Harry Kane is not an amateur striker that any coach need to refine. Harry Kane is already made and has been consistent for the past decade. So he only needs to be fit in order to score goals. Besides, Vincent Kompany has been in England for long with Harry Kane they both understand each other.
