I have been into the system for some months now and I have made over twenty posts but no simply merit has been given to me or earn by me and this make me to be surprise on how these merit are generated, given or earned. However, looking at it in another perspective, I don't know if it is because I did not meet the number of my post require to earn a merit or because of the low quality of my post that is the reason why I had not been able to earn a single merit. So please I will like to get more clarifications on the possible requirement for earning merit.
Good of you to point out that your low quality posts could be the reason why you haven’t earned a single merit yet although i can see that you have already earned 2 merits from just asking this question. Sometimes you earn merit from posts you don’t even expect it just depends on who feels the post is merit worthy. To earn merit there is no number of posts required to be eligible to earn merits you can as well earn merits from your first post if any member sees it worthy.
To maintain a good merit history you have have to keep making quality posts at all time it will help to increase your rank but i have an advice for you, as a newbie merit shouldn’t be priority at the moment you should seek knowledge first it will help you in making quality posts and useful contributions that will earn you merit. Focus on learning and contributing positively to the forum and the merits will come eventually.
