They have all it takes for them to continue the way they played last season. They have very good players at that team, and I am happy for a man like Xabi Alonso, who have taking it upon himself to make sure he pushes Leverkusen to a greater heights. If they can maintain the kind of consistency they maintained last season, then I'm quite sure they can go on to lift the trophy twice, and not only that, they will looking forward to adding an European trophy to the list next season.Just can't wait to see them play in the Champions league next season.
The Champions League is a league that is very different from the European League when viewed in terms of caste and level of competition so the same thing will probably never happen to Leverkusen even though there are many people who believe in Leverkusen's consistency for next season. And I'm just sure that Leverkusen will only be able to take another trophy in the Bundesliga and also in other competitions in Germany, but for the Champions League trophy I still think Leverkusen will probably have difficulty getting it straight away next season.
While still respecting Leverkusen and especially Xabi Alonso, their historic journey last season most likely cannot be repeated in the Champions League, there is a chance they can do it in the Bundesliga due to the change in managers of Bayern Munich and Dortmound. There are a number of favorite teams in the Champions League, Real Madrid and Manchester City are currently at the top of the list, it seems that Leverkusen cannot do much in front of them. Surprises are possible, but logically Leverkusen chances in the Champions League are very low, I think their best chance is in the Bundesliga. Meanwhile, it is possible that next season will be Xabi Alonso last season with Leverkusen, their successful journey last season has entertained everyone and become an inspiration for other mediocre clubs.
Now everyone's dream is to be like Bayer Leverkusen. It's not easy because Xabi has worked hard to bring the players and the team together. In Leverkusen, the players know very well what each other can do. They now know where to run, when to shoot, when to defend. Team chemistry is compatible with each other. They may be successful in Germany next year, but I agree with what you said about UCL. There are very strong teams and they may struggle even in groups
Of course it is always difficult for clubs from Europa League coming to UCL to dominate the league. They hardly cope in the group stage so I am not expecting much from Leverkusen in the Champions League next season. However, they might surprise the world and go far who knows, after all nobody saw them winning the league unbeaten.

Atalanta is also another club that I feel will not go far but we should still expect to see them in their best performance to enable them qualify from the group stage. Next season Europa League will be different from this past one but will it be as interesting as this past one that was full of surprises.
