Let’s not paint it as though Roman Abrahmovic himself wasn’t that an impatient owner like Todd Boehly now. The significant difference between this two was how Roman Abrahmovic handled players transfer and some internal runnings of the club. Unlike Boehly, Romano allows each manager to get his preferred players and backs them with the need funds. He bought simple the best players that were on the market on the request of the managers this was actually not done by him single handedly going to scout or negotiate with the players but was done by the scouting department.
Boehly actually does none of this, he mostly buy players that fits his own ideology and not necessarily what the manager wants, although Cole Palmer deal turned out well I could recall Mauricio Pochettino saying that he wasn’t aware of his and some of other players signings which to me is a bad culture and part of the reason why Chelsea suffered and could suffer again this coming season
I agree Roman Abramovich and Todd Boehly are similar in how quickly they want to see results but they handle player transfers and team decisions differently. Abramovich trusted managers to choose players they wanted and provided money to get them. He also let scouting team find talent. Boehly on the other hand signs players he likes even if manager does not want them. And you are right this can cause problems like we saw when Mauricio Pochettino said he did not know about some signings. And I also think if Boehly keeps making decisions without listening to manager Chelsea might struggle again this season.
