A good faction of people are interested in crypto because they want to make money from them, not necessarily because of utility. Why would anyone restrict themselves just because of the opinion of a random person?
Why would anyone need to restrict themselves? They can have their own purpose and interests regarding Bitcoin and do whatever they want, it's not like just because some people are using Bitcoin for a different purpose it is going to become useless. Bitcoin will stay the way it is, it will keep gaining value if the demand increases and it will have the same utilities that it has today or had since the beginning, so it doesn't matter how and why one uses it.
People who understand Bitcoin and how it works and what it can do will surely use it for both profits and utilities because why not? Just have some Bitcoin that you will hold for long-term so that you can profit from its price and have some Bitcoin that you will use normally for purchases and payments, etc.
