Next season, UCL will implement a new format that is very different from what we have known so far. This format will place the 36 participants who qualify into just one group and each team will compete eight times. So this will not be the same as a league match where each team has to compete against each other.

It will be busy that one team plays 8 times, the EPL teams must be very careful to manage their lineup and they need to rotate the players. Since England has many domestic competitions, this new format won't be good news for them.
But with this rule I think every big club like City or Real Madrid will not face any problems and challenges. It is claimed that a format like this will make the match more competitive and each team will have the same opportunity to qualify for the round of 16. And there will no longer be the hardest group and the easiest group in UCL.
The teams with many top players in their squad, it may be fine because they have no problem to rotate their players. But for the teams that their main lineup has a big difference level with their second line up, it can be a serious problem. With more matches in UCL, I think the second lineup of each UCL team will be very useful in the next season.
