The new format of the Champions League certainly makes us curious about whether the Champions League is getting more exciting or actually experiencing a decline in competition in the competition next season, the new format of the Champions League next season adopts the Swiss model which is indeed more dominant use in the game of chess so far, I don't know what the reason for UEFA is changing the format of the competition in the current Champions League but I hope that with the change in the format it will make the competition in the Champions League will the more competitive and not only profitable for he big team later, the new format will be officially used next season and hopefully it will make the Champions League even more interesting to watch.

According to several sources on goggle, the decision to change the format of the Champions League next season is controversial in various parties because it is likely to favor some big teams, including giving two slots to teams that do not qualify for the Champions League through any route but have the highest ranking value based on the UEFA coefficient, so it seems controversial, because UEFA is directly become accomplice of the big clubs.
Regardless of any perceived controversy, I think the Champions League is still very competitive. It's not at all a bad thing when there are changes to make the competition more interesting, but of course not everyone is happy about it.

I actually welcome the adoption of the new format in the Champions League. There are a few additional teams that could qualify for the group stage although this is less expected than the other teams that did not qualify. Moreover, there are rules about how these teams can qualify and they should not be appointed directly by anyone. If this team meets the criteria or conditions, then they should qualify because the conditions are met, not because of the choice of one or two other people.
