I think I also see Leverkusen with same lenses. I as much as they continue to maintain the same tempo as they do with Xabi Alonso remaining their genius coach, they will definitely go far even in the next season. Maybe Leverkusen may not be able to repeat the same unbeaten streak like they did this season but they will still go far next season and I so much belive that they can still take the Bundesliga league with this current performance. Xabi Alonso is a team builder and have a fairly strong scouting skills. Something you can relate with Pep Guardiola's performance effects.
In the Bundesliga next season Bayer Leverkusen will still be the favorite team to win the title again even though it will be difficult to repeat the unbeaten record like last season. However, the only thing that many people will see more for the Leverkusen team next season is when Leverkusen competes in the Champions League. Because it is a much more prestigious league, it will make any achievements achieved by Leverkusen remembered by many people, even though in this competition it is always not easy for all teams to compete.
I'm not doubting Leverkusen, they have been among the fast growing teams with those credible potentials but I can't define their dominance in the Champions League, compared to their own leagues especially the Bundeslisga. Bayern Leverkusen can still retain their title but still we can't put them at the top and forget about a team like Bayern Munich who has been leading and the most favourite in the German league. If Leverkusen wants to go far, then they should put more effort, they can't put up the kind of play they did against Atalanta and expect a promising results, teams are getting stronger and the Champions League is not a play ground for under performance.
