LOL.. Belgium vs France match is going to be really exciting. Belgium struggled a lot in Group E, and they won just one match (against Romania). while France fared better (although they conceded draws against Netherlands and Poland in Group E). Another match I would be quite interested in will be Switzerland vs Italy. At least on paper, Italy is stronger. But at the same time, they did poorly in Group B. Switzerland on the other hand did well to hold Germany to a draw in their last group stage match.
These two matches will be interesting to watch and will also be very difficult to predict because u have concluded that there is no more favorite in this tournament following the team performances in the group stage.
Nevertheless, it has now come to a stage where champions showed themselves;
Belgium vs France is a world class match that will be hard to predict, but based on group stage performance, France in my opinion should have a better chance because they even have a better team than Belgium; although, we can’t rule Belgium out of the game either.
Switzerland Vs Italy will also going to be tough, but I am in support of Italy in the match.
Yesterday, Turkey secured a 2-1 victory against the Czech Republic in the final Group F match, advancing to the last 16. The Czech Republic bid farewell to the tournament with this result. Notably, the referee in the Turkey-Czech Republic match set a tournament record by issuing 16 yellow cards and 2 red cards. At one point, I even wondered if he would start showing cards to the fans and TV viewers.
I have almost gave up on Turkey because I was not expecting them to win the match, but they might be encouraged after seeing Georgia wining their match against Portugal. But it is all the same since they both qualified to the knockout stage.
