Georgia was a big surprise to me but I just like the twist because it added more fun to the competition. Even though group stages just concluded, it will not be wrong to say that this is the most fascinating and interesting Euro tournament I have seen. First time in the history of Euro that you cannot be sure of winning until the final whistle. I expect more intrigues as the knockout stages begin and the first major match that will defy every tactics of prediction is France against Belgium. Both teams are among those expected to win the trophy so there meeting will be a big clash.
Even though France is limping in terms of winning group stage matches, they have the squad depth to compete for the highest places in this tournament. The match should be more challenging for both teams, of course because whoever loses will go home early.
Unfortunately, we cannot hope that two of the 4 favorite teams will qualify for the final. I mean, Portugal, Germany, Spain and France are all in the same bracket where only one of them will go into the final as the favorite. Germany and Spain will most likely meet in the quarter-finals, while France and Portugal also have the same chance.
