It's always surprised me that some people think Bitcoin is currently deflationary when the supply is inflating.

Bitcoin's inflation rate is 0.80%, but it halves every 4 years and over time will end at 0%. This is a deflationary form of money that the world has not yet seen. The hardest money in human history. Gold has an inflation rate of up to 2% annually, but as the price of gold rises, many gold mines become profitable to mine, leading to increased inflation. Satoshi solved this by adjusting the difficulty, so no matter how many new miners start mining and increase the hashrate, they cannot mine more Bitcoins. It continues indefinitely with the "tick tock next block" on average every 10 minutes.
