While I don't really want to speak about the qualities of players Chelsea are currently going for from the fact that they have spent millions for under performing players based on the price they were bought and expectation from them, I will wait to see these players perform before criticism though it's Ironic as they are not going for experienced players which has been something lacking in team more especially from the fact that Silva is out now.
What worked for Maresca in the Championship may not work in the Premier League, and his decisions may not be the best either. And it’s not worth comparing the experiences of Maresca and Pochettino, I think they have very different levels, but Chelsea decided to take a risk. Perhaps the winning mentality is important for them, if Maresca knows how to win, even in a lower league, then he will strive for this in the Premier League.
Everything will be different, what happened at Chelsea in the past might be able to be fixed by Maresca, so until he proves anything we won't know what will happen and it is true that taking this job is a big gamble for Maresca's coaching career.
Maresca is a coach who is rising to fame after successfully bringing Leicester promotion to the Premier League.
And the squad that Chelsea currently has is the fault of the Chelsea owners, they spent a lot of money on players who don't have good quality/worth the price so we don't need to talk about that anymore.
We'll see later how Maresca builds this team and what the role of Chelsea management is to support it, whether it is the same as before or will be different, if it is still the same (lots of interference from management in recruiting players) then Maresca will be the next victim (the coach who was fired ).
