It's all about Pochettino's conflict with Todd Boehly about player transfers; Pochettino has lost respect for Todd Boehly since Chelsea's humiliation in the Carabao Cup to Liverpool last season. I was watching when Pochettino overlooked Todd Boehly, and rebuilding a club without seasoned players is extremely difficult.
I recall reading a lot of reports that Todd would allow Pochettino to easily acquire and trade players, but things did not go as planned. Todd was constantly altering his attitude, and he wanted a coach who could buy young squad teams to fight with the major teams.
To be honest, I didn't like the news that he would likely bring a player from Leicester City to Chelsea.
I have also read the news. To be honest, what is happening to Chelsea today is not a good situation and it will really affect their performance next season. It's more likely that Todd Boehly wants young players to develop into strong ones for the future. But realistically I prefer Mauricio Pochettino's opinion. To become a champion, you need experienced players who have a high level. Chelsea couldn't just rely on young players then Todd Boehly set a target that Chelsea had to become champions. That will take quite a long time. But I think Pochettino also can't accept this condition because he has to wait years to build a squad with young players now.
Todd Boehly knows nothing about football, his approach and ways he has been handling things at Chelsea so far has clearly shown that. How can you come to a big team like Chelsea that's already a world-class team with so many fan base and just start making decisions that are clearly hurting and drawing the club backward. To keep competing in the highest level, you need experienced players who has been tested in the bigger stages. Boehly should make no mistake to think that these amature players he is assembling will grow into something big in the premier league. Same way he is building that's how other clubs are also building their squad too. It would have been better if he mixed the squad with experienced players that will help guide the younger ones. With the way Chelsea are going about their recruitment this summer, I think their woes of last season will still follow them to next season.
