Belgium was not the only squad that lacked chemistry. as far as i remember, France demonstrated almost similar performance to Belgium. It's difficult to forecast which club would win the game, with France being the favorite to go to the next round, but I rated Belgium equally with France.
Belgium and France performed poorly on the group stage, and there may not be a big difference between their performances. Currently, either France or Belgium have good strikers. They've always struggled to score.
There will be no progress at all. A boring game between Belgium and France awaits us.
So far in Euro 2024, among biggest teams, only Spain and Germany shown good chemistry and bond among their players and after the group stage, they are considered as one of most promising candidates for the Euro title. The general assessment on their performances and probability to win the title makes sense, based on their player quality and performances so far, but in knock out matches, we might witness surprises.Belgium and France performed poorly on the group stage, and there may not be a big difference between their performances. To win Euro 2024 title, Spain and Germany need to perform well and win some knock out matches and they will have to beat each other before the final match, in the quarter final match if they win their matches in round of 16. Only Germany or Spain will appear in the final match of this Euro.
Asides Spain and perhaps Germany, none of the heavy favorites for this tournament have played well enough to the level of the expectation we might have had on them before the competition started, I'm however optimistic that it's just due to the group stages, and a lot of he underdogs too have brought the fight to them, either by physicality or astute organized defenses, that have somewhat leveled the playing ground for them. The knockout stages should be far more interesting that what we've witnessed in the group stage, the tough matchup Belgium vs France is likely the fixture of the stage, both teams weren't brilliant in group stage, but we can expect a different display this time!
