First 45 minutes gone and Italy don't have any shot on target should tell you how seriously Switzerland are taking their defense and I'm not surprised at such a statistics
Switzerland has been very impressive in this competition and the Italians we have over complained about how they stay back and defend too much without creating enough attacking threats. They are not in a good position because going into the second half loosing by a goal and will need to try to attack more in the second half in an attempt to try to score, which will provide many opportunities for Switzerland to find a way through to get a second goal which will solid their lead. If Switzerland score again, Italy should pack their bags to go home.
Switzerland where too good with their attack especially during the first half, they literally destabilize the Italian tactical play, the Italians where nearly on pressure for a country a lot of people didn't give a second thought about, especially considering the fact the Italians are defending champions.
I remember telling somebody that football in Europe has taken a different dimension, those countries we didn't give much recognitions before are springing up with so much strength and vigor to challenge the existing status quo in the football world, we should be ready for more surprising results going forward.
